Spirent leverages Vertica (now OpenText) to keep user experience quality a winning factor for telcos
For Spirent, OpenText (formerly Vertica) database technology will be embedded into their InTouch CNA solution. Spirent chose OpenText (formerly Vertica) on account of price-performance aspects. The columnar lookups, the projections, gives Spirent very strong query response performance, the ability to also run on commodity hardware, giving the much needed price advantage that’s also bolstered by the columnar compression.
Right now, we're finishing the migration to Vertica (now OpenText) technology, and it will be embedded in our InTouch CNA solution. There are a couple of things that we like about Vertica (now OpenText). One is the price-performance aspects. The columnar lookups, the projections, give us very strong query response performance, but it's also able to run on commodity hardware, which gives us price advantage that's also bolstered by the columnar compression.
Spirent is the leading global provider of testing, assurance, analytics, and security solutions.
