These integrations connect directly to SAP SuccessFactors HCM data, enabling documents to be generated, stored, and managed as part of core HR workflows.

        OpenText integrations are tested and supported by SAP, ensuring reliable operation within SAP SuccessFactors environments.

        By enabling a seamless flow of employee, candidate, and new hire data, organizations can automate HR communications, accelerate business processes, and support compliance with regional and regulatory requirements.

      • SAP SuccessFactors HCM supports basic document handling, but is not designed for long-term employee document management. OpenText extends SAP SuccessFactors with advanced HR digital document management capabilities that go beyond the platform’s basic storage options, including:

        • Unlimited centralized content storage.
        • Automatic capture of documents generated during HR processes.
        • Enterprise-grade security, governance, and compliance.
        • Legal holds and records retention.
        • Cross-process visibility across the employee lifecycle.

        SAP recommends using SAP SuccessFactors’ native document management service alongside OpenText document management to give HR departments a comprehensive system of record that meets regional retention and enterprise archiving requirements.

      • OpenText Content Management for SAP SuccessFactors supports flexible deployment options to match different IT and HR strategies. Organizations can choose fully managed cloud deployment, with OpenText handling hosting, performance, updates, and security, or deploy hybrid or on-premises environments when greater control or customization is required.

        Large enterprise clients that choose a private cloud deployment of SAP SuccessFactors also often select the extended OpenText private cloud service to secure their long-term success and align to their SAP support contract, MaxAttention.

        This flexibility allows organizations to modernize HR document management at their own pace while supporting HR digital transformation, compliance, and long-term governance requirements. Deployment options also support regional data residency requirements, helping organizations meet local privacy and regulatory obligations.

      • Document types, templates, and retention policies are managed centrally by HR within  the OpenText interface. Using intelligent document processing, historic employee records can be quickly imported, classified against the correct document type, then stored in the employee file with applied records management. This allows teams to streamline how they deliver consistent compliance for current and ex-employees.

        For configuration partners or HR business users, we provide best practice configurations in the Launch Service package giving teams a strong starting point. After go live, HR and compliance teams can update templates, adjust retention rules, and manage document structures as needs evolve. This strengthens HR document management practices and reduces reliance on external support.

      • OpenText delivers two semi-annual product releases per year, giving HR teams the flexibility to choose which release to adopt and when based on their operational calendar. We recommend organizations plan to update the platform every 12 months, with a maximum interval of 18 months. Regular updates ensure continued access to the latest integration capabilities that support AI, automation, and ongoing business improvements. The flexible release schedule allows HR teams to plan updates in line with their operational calendar, align internal resources, and maximize business value.

      • OpenText provides global implementation support, including an assigned onboarding manager from contract signing to go live. Deployments are handled by certified consultants to ensure best practices are followed.       • Automated document generation and AI are key tools for HR departments looking to reduce manual effort. OpenText Content Management for SAP SuccessFactors provides standard integration to ensure communications are automatically triggered by events in SAP SuccessFactors, which deliver personalized, timely communication at scale. For example, a relocation event can automatically produce a contract amendment or change-of-employment letter, ensuring employees receive the right information instantly.

        AI can help business users and service center staff find document templates, then automatically create documents based on AI conversations.

        Business workflows can bulk generate offer letters, contracts, and hiring communications for large recruitment cycles, enabling HR teams to execute mass hiring activities efficiently.

      • OpenText™ Content Aviator, our AI content management solution, can integrate with SAP’s AI solution (SAP Joule) in an agent-to-agent integration pattern. These agents will deliver faster record discovery from the SAP SuccessFactors UI, allowing HR to answer questions and perform complex multi-step tasks across both environments.
