The Workflow Design course provides users with a solid understanding of Content Server's Workflow Design tool. Through a series of lectures and exercises, students will create, initiate and manage many different types of Workflows.

  • Include attributes, attachments, and comments in the work package
  • Use dynamic replacement tags and HTML to improve readability for instructions and the workflow instance title
  • Incorporate decisions into routing paths
  • Manage workflow instances
  • Configure the Content Server Item Handler step
  • Use the Item Handler step to automatically impact Content Server items, including:
    • creating new folder structures,
    • adding new versions to documents,
    • moving or copying items, and
    • exchanging information between workflow attributes and category attributes
  • Review best practices for workflow testing
  • Configure the administration settings that impact the features available to the Item Handler
  • Understand how the Disposition Review workflow step can be used in organizations that require additional disposition review approval steps when using Records Management
