Course Description

The Content Server Forms module enables users to create, manage and track electronic forms. This course examines the functionality of forms and addresses the basics of building Form Templates and designing forms. This course also shows workflow and form designers how to create forms that can initiate workflows or that are steps in workflows.

• Create Form Templates, including specifying where the form data should be stored
• Create forms from Form Templates
• Define access control for forms and Form templates
• Customize form appearance via HTML views and a style sheet
• Initiate workflows from forms

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Create Form Templates and manage the relational database
• Make forms for users and specify where the form data should be stored
• Create HTML Views that present the same form data in different ways to different users
• Produce forms that initiate workflows when the user submits them. Also, learn how to incorporate forms in the workflow package
• Configure appropriate access control on the forms and Form Templates
• Understand how records submitted through a Content Server form are stored in the database
• View data stored in form tables by creating basic LiveReports
