Course Description
This course provides the core information you need to manage your organization’s records. It is designed for Records Managers who need a thorough understanding of the core Content Server Records Management (RM) features. It begins with discussing the discipline of RM and continues with an introduction to OpenText Records Management software. To make sure the appropriate people of your organization have access to specific area of Records Management, the roles of Records Managers Groups and Records Officers will be defined and configured. Based on a File Plan and implementation scenario, this course will step you through populating Code tables, Record Series Identifiers (RSIs) and RSI Schedules.
After creating RM Classifications and applying them to existing records, the course will continue with making records Official and/or Confidential, and finalizing them. When the records are ready to be transitioned from one stage in their lifecycle to the next, Disposition Searches can be initiated manually or scheduled. After reviewing the Disposition Review process and assigning the reviewers, the records are ready to be dispositioned.
