Course Description

Summary

This course provides you with the knowledge necessary to successfully install, configure, and deploy the OpenText Identity Governance 25.4 product.

Overview

This instructor-led training is designed to help students become knowledgeable in the latest version of Identity Governance (25.4) administration. It is designed to bring new and preexisting customers, systems integrators, and partners up to date on new features and functionality.

The course instruction begins by establishing a fictitious organization used to represent any customer environment. From there, students will install and configure the One Single SignOn Provider (OSP) to facilitate authentication services. Next, the students will install and configure the Identity Governance product. This instance will be configured to integrate with existing OpenText™ NetIQ™ Identity Manager and Active Directory deployments.

From this point, students will configure and work with the following features of Identity Governance:

• Configuring identity sources
• Configuring application sources
• Configuring transformation scripts to manage consistent representation of data
• Configuring roles to more efficiently manage access, including:
• Business roles
• Technical roles
• Understanding and creating Polices, including the following:
• Access Request
• Access Approval
• Separation of Duties
• Understanding the purpose and configuring of Reviews as well as Fulfillments
• Introduction to Identity Governance reporting

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Understand the fictitious organization known as Extremely Focused
• Identify requirements for installing the product
• Understand the fundamentals of Directory Service schemas
• Perform the installation of One Single SignOn Provider
• Perform the installation of the Identity Governance product
• Understand how to delegate administrative responsibilities to known user accounts
• Understand the use cases and how to implement business roles
• Understand the use cases and different methods to implement technical roles
• Understand how to configure Access Request and Approval Policies
• Understand the use case of Separation of Duties (SoD) polices and how to implement them
• Understand the purpose and how to implement a review process
• Understand how to implement fulfillment processes
• Understand how to implement basic workflows
• Understand how to work with the Identity Governance reporting service
