Course Description

This two-day hands-on course covers the latest evolution in OpenText Extended ECM for Office 365 and SharePoint. The latest version of Extended ECM for Office 365 includes new features added to the Office 365 Integration service and to the Microsoft Teams integration.

The focus of this course is to enable new and existing administrators to install, configure and administer Extended ECM for Office 365 in an Office 365 tenant/SharePoint Online environment.

Highlights:

• Describe the key features and components of OpenText Extended ECM for Office 365
• Explain how OpenText Extended ECM for Office 365 archiving works at a high level
• Install and configure the OpenText Office 365 modules on Content Server
• Add connections from the Office 365 Integration Service to SharePoint, the Office 365 tenant, and Content Server
• Archive SharePoint content interactively and automatically with the Office 365 Integration Service
• Add a business workspace tab to a Microsoft Team
• Add OneDrive and Office 365 documents to a business workspace

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Provide a high-level overview of Microsoft SharePoint products
• Explain Microsoft SharePoint Online concepts and tasks including site creation, site collections, document libraries and content types at a high level
• Describe the key features of OpenText Extended ECM for Office 365
• Explain how OpenText Extended ECM for Office 365 archiving works at a high level
• Install and configure the OpenText Office 365 modules on Content Server
• Add and modify Content Server Web Parts on SharePoint
• Install and configure the Office 365 Integration Service
• Add connections from the Office 365 Integration Service to SharePoint, the Office 365 tenant, and Content Server
• Archive SharePoint content interactively and automatically with the Office 365 Integration Service
• Archive SharePoint Online sites and documents automatically using various types of profiles and scheduled tasks (including incremental archiving, document library, and site profiles)
• Add a business workspace tab to a Microsoft Team
• Add the Extended ECM for Microsoft Office 365 widgets to a Microsoft Teams tab
• Add OneDrive and Office 365 documents to a business workspace
