Course Description


This course provides Business Analyst users with the knowledge they need to get the full value out of the OpenText Media Management capacity to automate processes through workflows and to obtain a solid understanding of the best practices to guarantee a successful implementation

The course begins with an overview of what a workflow is, the benefits of its use and how Media Management implements its use. It then proceeds with a description of the lifecycle of jobs.

Participants will create different job definitions based on a set of requirements. They will learn to use the Job Modeler interface to create the required forms and workflow diagrams for the process to automate.

The course also helps participants prepare for Media Management implementations in accordance with OpenText best practices. Attendees will first be provided with a high-level overview of the product and of the standard Media Management Business Analysis methodology. Following this introductory material will be an intensive, facilitator-led workshop during which the Business Analysis process will be explored through the use of sample documentation, whiteboard sessions, and role-playing scenarios.

  • Use the Job modeler to create a review and approval job and an asset download request job
