Summary

This course provides you with the knowledge necessary to manage your organization's infrastructure and application-related events in OpenText Operations Bridge Manager. This course is designed as the foundation of all the OpenText Operations Bridge Manager courses.

Overview

OpenText Operations Bridge Manager is the core component of the OpenText Operations Bridge solution.

This course explains how to leverage the solution to bring continuous monitoring for your application and/or server. It helps you manage quality information throughout the event lifecycle from the time an event is received till its closure.

This course provides an opportunity to develop hands-on experience in applying the fundamental principles, methodologies, and capabilities to manage events using OpenText Operations Bridge Manager.

By the end of this course, you will be able to manage events from infrastructure and application using the Event Perspective, Health Perspective, Performance Perspective, and Monitoring Dashboards interfaces.

  • Explain about Health Indicator (HI), Key Performance Indicator (KPI), and Event Type Indicator (ETI).
  • Use OpenText Operations Bridge Manager to identify, prioritize, and resolve events effectively.
  • Consolidate and work with events.
  • Describe how tools can do quick health checks using Out-of-the-box (OOTB)-configured tools.
  • Use Monitoring Dashboards to:
    • Summarize events from your monitoring environment.
    • Quickly assess the health of the environment and identify areas that require your attention.
  • Explain how Performance Perspective helps using the performance metrics of applications, systems, and networks.
  • Describe how Event Perspective helps with detailed event-related information.
