OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP® Solutions Standardises and Accelerates Bill Processing at SBB

SBB logo

Digitalisation and automation accelerate bill processing by up to 40 per cent

We standardised five different workflows and replaced them with a single process. Thus we were also able to centralise bill processing. Today, all the bills to SBB go through the shared Service Center Finance. Standardisation and centralisation are two sides of the same coin, which is efficiency.

Marino Stoppiello, Head of PL Pool SCF (Solution Center Finance) at SBB

Challenge

  • The previous bill processing solution had reached the end of its lifecycle
  • The process could not be documented in line with all the legal requirements and in an ICS-compliant way
  • The differences between the existing individual processes for bill processing made more far-reaching standardisation and automation more difficult

Product(s)

Value

  • Standardisation to a single process, a higher degree of automation and a reduced number of staff increase efficiency
  • The complete documentation of all decisions and authorisations of those taking part guarantees adherence to all legal requirements
  • Digitalisation and automation accelerate bill processing; user-friendliness and acceptance of the OpenText solution are reducing support requests by 50 per cent
  • Order and bills can only be approved by authorised persons
