Products and Services Overview
The IT Factory Business Line focuses on consulting services and solutions for IT organisations in the private sector (from larger medium-sized companies upwards) and the public sector with an emphasis on private clouds and automation, IT security and ITIL as well as IT service management and monitoring. These are based on products from the company’s strategic partners, BMC, HP, IBM, Microsoft and ServiceNow, which Materna then enhances with their own consulting and implementation services. The range of services provided within the IT Factory business line aims to increase the agility of innovative IT systems (systems of engagement) and also to reduce the cost of running classical IT systems (systems of records). The Digital Enterprise Business Line provides customers from the private sector with consulting services and solutions for communications and interaction using digital channels. Materna addresses customer scenarios from the fields of workforce excellence, sales & marketing and after sales service. Whether it is an internet-portal or a global brand site, collaboration or intranet solutions for internal communications, online learning, e-commerce solutions or a platform for after sales service – as a full service provider, Materna delivers everything for the digital enterprise from one source - from digital marketing and implementation through to operations. The Government Business Line focuses on the public sector customer segment and supports public authorities and agencies with the strategies and IT-technology to implement their tasks for the state on the road to achieving digitalized administration. Materna helps with the conceptual design and introduction of internet and intranet solutions, the optimization of administration procedures (E-government Act) and the implementation of customer-specific procedures. Materna takes care of public authorities and administrations throughout all phases of the value adding chain, from providing advice through to operations. The public sector is one of the most important sectors for the company and Materna is very well positioned here, for example, with their development of large specialist procedures for the German customs administration and the implementation of internet sites, e.g. for the German Federal Government. The core of the Mobility Business Line is the implementation of self service systems for passenger processing which Materna markets throughout the world under the brand name Integrated Passenger Services (Materna IPS). Customers include airlines, airports and airport operators, such as Lufthansa, Air Berlin, Germanwings, Emirates, Vienna Airport or Hamburg Airport. Another focus within this Business Line includes solutions, often based on Materna’s own aggregations platform MACS, for handling multimedia and mobility data. In the field of traffic data handling, customers include companies in the transport sector such as toll companies, forwarders and public sector administrations. Target markets for digital commerce with music, eBooks and other multimedia formats include book publishers, labels and marketing agencies. The Communications Business Line develops and delivers telecommunications technologies for internationally active companies.
