LAVA Systems Inc. Joins Oracle Corporation's Cooperative Applications Initiative

LAVA Systems to Provide Integrated Information Management Solutions To Oracle Customers Worldwide

Toronto, ON – 1997-3-10 – LAVA Systems Inc. (TSE:LVA), the developer of award-winning integrated document management, imaging and workflow solutions that information-enable the enterprise by helping organizations act upon their business knowledge, today announced it has joined Oracle Corporation's Cooperative Applications Initiative (CAI). The goal of the relationship is to further integrate LAVA Systems' information management solution, LAVA 5.0, with Oracle Financial. LAVA's membership in the CAI program will allow LAVA Systems to extend its information management solution to the Oracle wide base of customers using its leading-edge business applications.

The agreement with Oracle is the second in a series LAVA Systems has formed to bring its customers application-specific LAVA Enabler™s designed to add value to leading business systems. With the integration, LAVA Systems can now take advantage of the technical, marketing and sales support that are part of the CAI program.
