Capital Projects address the challenge of managing complex information and processes related to engineering, plants, and facilities in a cost effective and repeatable manner. It is built on a stable ECM infrastructure (OpenText Documentum). Using Capital Projects enables an organization to protect information, streamline operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize plant and facilities management. Capital Projects supports document management; review, approval, revision, and commenting; transmittals; and search and reporting. It also addresses processes of project ventures. This course covers the configuration and use of the Capital Projects solution.

  • Configure Capital Projects using the RCF XML file
  • Describe the role-based security used
  • Describe document security and revisions

    • Create distribution matrices
    • Create transmittals (incoming, outgoing, and review)
    • Comment on project documents and consolidate comments
    • Perform Prepare, Verify, and Approval processes
    • Create Handover packages
    • Export project documents
    • Generate reports
