The System Administration course provides the Documentum System Administrator and Project Architects with a firm foundation in a wide variety of Documentum administrative tasks. Participants will learn how to install, upgrade, configure, and perform basic maintenance tasks for Content Server.

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Install and configure Content Server
  • Create and modify users and groups
  • Configure role-based administration
  • Configure authentication options
  • Configure a repository to use login tickets and application access tokens
  • Explore a variety of Content Server configurations
  • Configure privileged clients
  • Use a client rights domain to manage privileged clients
  • Set up and run jobs and methods
  • Set up and manage content storage areas
  • Install and use index server and an index agent
  • Perform troubleshooting
  • Create and use resource agents
  • Upgrade Content Server and its components
  • Create, search, verify, sign, and purge audit trail records
  • Configure and use the Java Method Server and the dmbasic Method Server
  • Create a repository federation
  • Perform object replication
  • Set up a job sequence
  • Use MACL (Mandatory Access Control List) features
  • Perform dump and load
  • Install and use ACS (Accelerated Content Services) , BOCS (Branch Office Caching Services), and DMS (Documentum Messaging Services) servers
  • Configure a JMS (Java Method Server) instance for HA (High Availability)
  • Use xMS to deploy Documentum products
