• Understand ProVision’s architectural design, user interface and basic features
• Understand how ProVision manages data in repositories, notebook and files; creating, viewing and maintaining models

• Use interfaces to import and export data
• Publish models in various formats to share project results with others
• Share models with other team members

• Understand how ProVision models, objects and associations represent DoDAF v2.0 work products
• Understand how ProVision’s customization feature supports DoDAF v2.0 plus client extensions
• Recognize and explain the purpose, contents and usage of the most frequently used DoDAF framework products
• Identify the components of each DoDAF v2.0 model and their inter-relationships in the ProVision repository
• Understand the techniques used to develop all DoDAF v2.0 models within all viewpoints: AVs, CVs, DIVs, OVs, PVs, SvcVs, StdVs, and SVs

Enterprise Architects, System/Application Architects, Data Architects, Technology Architects, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts as well as Managers and IT Professionals responsible for aligning IT infrastructure with the business needs.

Prerequisites:

This is an introductory level course for OpenText ProVision. However, students in this class must have some familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Familiarity with enterprise architecture, process and data modeling, business analysis and computer fundamentals is recommended.
