Overview
Generating critical business documents can be a costly process with many manual steps, including document collation, bundling, sorting, enveloping and print layout. This process is typically handled by printshops.
By using Post-Processing, organizations significantly reduce the number of manual steps and errors and reduce costs—by optimizing print jobs, negotiating better rates with printshops, reducing the amount of manual handling, and co-envelop for reduced postal costs.
Highlights:
- Organize documents into envelopes while minimizing the number of envelopes sent to each recipient
- Sort documents and documents, e.g. to meet postal criteria
- Provide reports on printed jobs for tracking and accounting purposes
- Take advantage of advanced layout features, sheet layouts, to maximize the printers’ capabilities – for example brochures
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify common errors when handling with fonts and drivers
- Create a custom driver
- Enable duplex printing
- Add new font to a PCL driver
- Group related documents into a Post-processor repository
- Track documents until printing or electronic delivery
- Manually release documents from the Post-processor repository
- Schedule document release Post-processor - for a particular time or event
- Create and apply sheet layouts
- Define OMR marks
- Create Post-processor queries
