The course enables the student to install, configure and administer OpenText Application Governance and Archiving (AGA) for Microsoft SharePoint 2010. We will discuss business cases for implementing several of OpenText’s archiving and site management tools for Microsoft SharePoint.
Topics covered include:
- Overview of Microsoft SharePoint products
- Introduction to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 including Site Creation, Document Libraries and Content Types
- Introduction to OpenText AGA for Microsoft SharePoint
- Installation of OpenText AGA for Microsoft SharePoint
- Basic configuration including setting up Storage Providers
- Interactive archiving and synced-Copy archiving
- Profile based archiving including automated task setup
- Web parts and federated search integration
- Introduction to Records Management integration
- Overview of the OpenText site deployment feature (new to AGA)
- Automating and simplifying SharePoint site creation
- Introduction to the Site Deployment Console and creating SharePoint site metadata
- Roadmap for upcoming features and release dates

Prerequisites:
IT knowledge, General IT background and experience in Microsoft SharePoint (WSS or MOSS) and OpenText Content Server is preferable.
