879 OpenText Media Management Developer Workshop

This course is intended for programmers who want to learn how to access programatically the Open Text Media Management 7 functionalities by using the available Open Text Media Management 7 Java APIs. Basic guidelines are provided to write Java-based programs to meet your implementation needs. Participants will have hands-on experience using API development tools, specifications and methodologies.
By the end of this course, participants will have a working knowledge of the following topics:
- The Open Text Media Management 7 Architecture from a developer point of view
- Configuring a development environment for the Open Text Media Management 7 (OTMM7) API
- Customizing the OTMM7 interface
- Integrating OTMM7 with external systems
- Developing and utilizing transformers
- Programming using web services
- Handling exceptions
- Working with OTMM7 events

This course is intended for developers experienced in writing Java applications.
Prerequisites:
- 877 Implementing OpenText Media Management 7
- General knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Unix)
- JAVA application programming experience
- Web and XML concepts
- Relational database concepts
