1330 Vignette Collaboration Foundation
Duration: 2 Days
This course introduces students to the foundational elements of Vignette Collaboration. Participants will learn how to create, manage, share and re-use hierarchies of content, explore and work with the various objects available to them (documents, links, discussions, dashboards, etc.), learn how to quickly search for content - and, most importantly, how to collaborate effectively across the enterprise using engaging communication tools.
Participants are also introduced to the important topics of document access, security and control - and how to effectively manage collateral and maintain existing business standards by using automated processes.
By the end of the course you will learn how to:
- Describe the Collaboration architecture and object model.
- Define key terms and concepts associated with template development.
- Explain the role of the Template Engine.
- Use all tags, including those used for new tagging, retention and auditing policies.
- Extend base product functionality through template customization.
- Customize the look and feel of Collaboration 7.2.
- Build custom Collaboration workspace templates.
- Develop custom objects and applications using the Custom Type Factory.
- Build a business process definition.
- Localize the Collaboration user interface

Audience:
This course is intended for individuals requiring a basic understanding of the use and capabilities of the Collaboration application.
Prerequisites:
The course assumes no prior knowledge of Vignette Collaboration. Some knowledge of web application architecture is recommended.
