1381 Vignette Business Integration Studio Foundation - Self-Paced
Duration: 1/2 day
Upon registration, students will be sent a self-study course package in which to do the course. Each self study course package contains a Vignette Business Integration Study 7.4 activity guide, lab and solutions files.
Participants learn the fundamentals of the VBIS product including the basics of adapters, projects, pallets and navigating the UI. Using VBIS locally on the participant’s machine, participants examine flat files, dataflow and loop execution, large projects, error handling and deployments, and execution order. They will also review the available adapter for VBIS.
Participants also get hands on experience through labs covering flat files, dataflow and loop execution, large projects, error handling and deployments, and execution order.
By the end of the course you will learn how to:
- Installation of Vignette Business Integration Studio
- Identify of available adapters
- Navigating the VBIS graphic user interface
- Connecting, rearranging and hiding ports
- Saving and running projects
- How to debug projects and identify issues
- Sending data to a flat file and formatting data
- Copying multiple adapters in large projects
- Creating flow diagrams
- Creating runtime targets and deployments
- Changing and executing order with adapters
- Specifying schema with XML
- Cleaning up the workspace including deleting unused items, naming flow diagrams, customizing the palette, adding comments and printing

This course is intended for individuals needing a hands on introduction to Vignette Business Integration Studio.
Prerequisites:
The course assumes no prior knowledge of Vignette Business Integration Studio. Some knowledge of basic systems administration is recommended.
