340 Web Services Fundamentals
Duration: 3 days
Web Services Fundamentals provides an introduction to the functionality of Open Text Content Server (formerly known as Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server) Web Services, the service oriented API component of the SDK.
During this session you will learn how to:
- Install and prepare a development environment.
- Create client software to access existing Web Services.
- Build on existing Web Services.
- Create new Web Services.
- Create client software to new Web Services.
Audience:
This course is for OScript, Java and C# programmers who wish to customize Livelink by using existing Livelink Web Services, or by creating their own.
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of the 101 Knowledge Fundamentals course, or very strong understanding of the Livelink user interface.
- Successful completion of the Builder Fundamentals course.
- A very solid background in Java or C#. Those students without a Java or C# background are strongly encouraged to take a Java or C# course before attending this training.
- A strong background in Eclipse. Those students without Eclipse knowledge are strongly encouraged to take an Eclipse course before attending this training.
- A good understanding of the customization needs of their organization.
- Application development knowledge and experience.
