545 Web Solutions - System Administration

This course is designed to present and discuss best practice principles to be followed when working with the Web Solution Management Server and Web Solution Delivery Server. Participants will get introduced to topics such as installation, administration, performance and debugging. Furthermore, the connection to Websphere and the searchengine Verity K2 is introduced.

The successful completion of this course does qualify the attendee for hotline support („System Administrator Support“) and gives access to our Extranet (see also Support Manual Open Text).

• Evaluate hard- and software requirements.
• Install and configure Web Solutions Management Server.
• Install and configure Web Solutions Delivery Server.
• Backup, restore and recover projects and system settings.
• Execute a simple logfile analysis.
• Install and configure Websphere and Verity K2.

Audience:

Primarily System Administrators but also Project Builder and Technical Website Administrators

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of network technologies and database management system tasks are essential. Experience with System administration tasks such as backup and logfile analysis is an advantage.
