Open Text is pleased to welcome Techlib to the Livelink brand family, under the name Livelink ECM - Library Management. The Livelink ECM brand is Open Text's premier brand, representing our commitment to providing innovative, reliable, and scalable Enterprise Content Management software.
What is Livelink ECM - Library Management and what happened to Techlib?
Techlib is now called Livelink ECM - Library Management. The name Library Management characterizes the fundamental capability of Techlib—enabling libraries to automate, catalog, and search archived content, and manage circulation, serials control, and acquisitions. The name is part of a standard nomenclature that will be used for all Open Text products that constitute a component of our high-level Enterprise Content Management offering.
Why is Open Text making this change now?
Looking forward, Open Text is committed to continuing to develop industry-leading Enterprise Content Management solutions for global organizations. By welcoming Techlib to the Livelink ECM family, customers of our Enterprise Content Management solutions can most effectively leverage the powerful capabilities of our archival and library management solutions. Similarly, our Library Management customers can now enjoy the support, strong foundation, and consistent functionality of the Livelink ECM brand, repository, and feature set.
Has the functionality of Techlib changed?
Library Management will continue to provide the same industry leading library automation capabilities.

What will happen to the Livelink Cataloged Library optional module?
Library Management will continue to be available as an optional module for Livelink Enterprise Server. The Livelink Cataloged Library module is now simply referred to as Library Management Integration. You can download the Library Management Integration Datasheet from the Library Management Web page.
Will I need to purchase Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server to continue to use Techlib?
No. Library Management continues to be available as a stand-alone solution. Customers who require Livelink - Enterprise Server's robust collaboration and content management capabilities can license Integration Module that combines the feature sets of Library Management and Enterprise Server.
