Air Liquide Selects Open Text’s Livelink
Solution Supports Governance of Enterprise Content for 12,000 Employees
Paris, France - 2003-10-09 - Open Text™ Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSX: OTC), provider of Livelink®, the leading collaboration and content management software for the global enterprise, today announced that Air Liquide, the world leader in industrial and medical gases, has signed an agreement to purchase Livelink, further extending the organization’s existing implementation.
Air Liquide first adopted Livelink in 1999 within one of its French business entities. Today, the Group is extending its implementation to incorporate all the affiliates and subsidiaries of the European branch of the Group. Ultimately, Open Text’s Livelink solution will be at the disposal of 12,000 users for knowledge management, content management and collaboration.
Air Liquide selected Livelink to support its strategy for improving the efficiency and streamlining of its information systems. As the key infrastructure, Livelink will enable Air Liquide to optimize its processes for structuring and disseminating content, documentation and knowledge internally within the group.
“The implementation of a single, unique platform for content and knowledge management will enable us to efficiently integrate silos of information and to facilitate the widespread standardization of best practices within the Air Liquide Group,” said Etienne Hubert, Chief Information Officer, Air Liquide Group.
“We are pleased that the Air Liquide Group has selected Livelink to support its widespread business efforts,” said Mike Farrell, Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, Open Text. “The combination of content management and collaboration functionality will provide a dynamic foundation for transforming knowledge into action.”
