VICTORIA-Verischerungsgruppe Chooses Open Text's Livelink as its Enterprise-Wide Collaborative Knowledge Management Solution
Livelink’s Standard Out-of-the-Box Functionalities and Ease-of-Use Support Corporate Objectives
Frankfurt, Germany - 2000-07-11 - Open Text™ Corporation, the leading provider of collaborative intranet, extranet and e-business applications, today announced that VICTORIA-Versicherungsgruppe has chosen to deploy Open Text’s Livelink® solution for its enterprise-wide collaborative knowledge management application.
VICTORIA-Versicherungsgruppe, one of Germany’s largest insurance companies with over US $5 billion in annual premiums, chose Livelink to manage paperless workflows and internal resources, enabling enterprise-wide virtual team collaboration and knowledge sharing among its employees and external partners.
As part of its product assessment, VICTORIA-Versicherungsgruppe required a complex set of criteria to be fulfilled, ranging from a fully Web-based product, decentralized user permission administration and an integrated workflow system, to an interface to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, support of NT and SQL-servers, high scalability and push technologies. Further requirements included a minor investment effort and the ability for employees to work together in virtual teams.
“A key-factor leading to the decision in favor of Open Text’s collaborative knowledge management solution was Livelink’s highly scalable, out-of-the-box functionalities,” said Hans-Gerd Spehl, Project Manager Intranet of the VICTORIA-Versicherungsgruppe. “We are very confident that Livelink will enable us to reach our goal of increasing overall productivity. Our first experiences with Livelink clearly demonstrate that we are on the right track.”
"We are pleased that VICTORIA-Versicherungsgruppe has chosen Livelink to meet its objective to increase efficiency by speeding up workflows and improving the teamwork of groups and departments,” said Andrew Pery, Vice President, Global Marketing at Open Text. "Gaining another important customer in the insurance industry in Central Europe clearly underlines our commitment to this vertical market.”
