Steamship, one of the leading insurance management service providers, is deploying Livelink to host the vast amounts of documentation created and managed by Steamship’s London office. With locations in Hong Kong, Bermuda, UK, and Rio de Janeiro, Open Text’s Web-based collaborative knowledge management solution makes corporate data and expertise accessible to Steamships’ employees, regardless of time or location. The integration of Livelink with Steamship’s core business systems provides users with improved communication, collaborative project management features and centralized document management functions, through an information portal for employees.

Over several years, a single claim can result in enormous amounts of paperwork, including reports, correspondence and photography. Livelink takes this information and stores it in a centralized repository which can be accessed anytime by anyone with a Web browser, decreasing the costs associated with copying, managing and sending paper documents to various offices.
