US Air Force Names Open Text’s Livelink as a Standard for Records Management
Waterloo, Ontario - 2000-05-25 - Open Text™ Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSE: OTC), the leading provider of collaborative intranet, extranet and e-business applications, today announced that the United States Air Force has named Open Text’s Livelink® Records Management as a records management solution.
The US Air Force conducted an evaluation of all DoD 5015.2 STD certified records management products and recommended Livelink Records Management as an electronic records management solution. Livelink Records Management has a proven track record of successful installations with the US Army Reserve and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Livelink Records Management is currently being implemented at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with final installation scheduled for October of this year.
DoD 5015.2-STD defines the basic requirements, based on operational, legislative and legal needs, that must be met by records management application (RMA) products to be considered by the Department of Defense (DoD) and its components.
