When Keith Pomeroy joined the Olentangy Local School District, located in southern Delaware County, Ohio as the director of technology, the support for the networks and applications was being handled by outside consultants. In order to get better control of Olentangy's IT environment, serving 13,000 students from preschool through twelfth grade, Pomeroy knew he needed to take back the district. He evaluated the district's IT infrastructure and operational processes and concluded that a more efficient and integrated IT platform was required.
