 Portal Integration Kit
Work the way you want. Connect your worlds. Be flexible.
Livelink ECM - Portal Integration Kit™ extends systems based on Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server (such as Livelink ECM - Document Management, Livelink ECM - Content Lifecycle Management and others) into leading Java-based portal frameworks. Deep integration of Enterprise Server's powerful functionality gives you more options to enhance your business-specific, portal-based solutions.
Portal Integration Kit allows content from Enterprise Server-based systems to be displayed in the portal frameworks of leading JSR-168-compliant portal applications, including those from SAP, Oracle, BEA and IBM. With Portal Integration Kit, your organization can aggregate all corporate information—both data and documents—from multiple applications into a single point of consumption using the portal application of your choice.
Portal Integration Kit is a set of out-of-the-box portlets to integrate Enterprise Server into leading Java-based portal frameworks. Portal Integration Kit supports the Java portlet API standards (JSR-168) and SAP NetWeaver Portal iViews.
Click each of the following features to learn more about the key capabilities of Portal Integration Kit:
-
Covers the standard functionality of Enterprise Server. All portlets are based on a common architecture so they can share information with one another. The access rights of the logged-in user are always taken into account.
-
The central part of the integration is a set of portlets that let users browse through the contents of Enterprise Server and view, download, update and add documents. Includes portlets for: Server, Connections & Credentials Management; Tree Navigation; List Container Content; My Favorites; My Reserved Items; My Assignments - Workflow; and Object Details with various views.
-
Team collaboration tools are an essential piece of the Livelink ECM - Extended Collaboration add-on for Livelink ECM - Document Management and Livelink ECM - Content Lifecycle Management. Included are portlets for Projects, My Projects, Discussion Overview, Discussion Entry and Task Inbox.
-
Executes predefined and custom LiveReports and displays the results in a list. Commonly used reports such as: Most Active Project; Today's News; What's Hot; All Reserved Items.
-
Enter search queries against Enterprise Server or create predefined searches. Options to select search broker, provide starting point for searches, restrict object types to be returned, and limit maximum number of search results to be returned. Search results can be linked with other portlets like "Object Details," "Tree Navigation," and "List Container Contents."
-
Shows user information as available in Enterprise Server—in addition to contact details, this may also include an image. The user can be specified either on portlet configuration or passed from another portlet (for example, Discussion Entry or Object Detail).
-
Transforms XML files stored within Enterprise Server into HTML.
-
Java APIs are documented in the standard JavaDoc format. Covers the development and deployment of custom Enterprise Server integrated portlets.
