Open Text provides a comprehensive product portfolio for all document archiving and document management needs in the SAP environment.

SAP ArchiveLink® Interface

Livelink ECM - Suite for SAP Solutions uses the SAP ArchiveLink interface to manage and archive SAP ArchiveLink and SAP Knowledge Provider (KPro) documents. With this interface, Livelink ECM - Suite for SAP Solutions can archive and manage SAP documents as follows:

• Outgoing SAP documents (documents that were created by the SAP system, such as purchase orders, invoices, reminder letters, delivery notes)

• Incoming documents of all types (scanned paper documents, faxes, electronic documents of various formats)

• Printlists (generated by SAP system reports)

• SAP data archiving objects

• Other SAP ArchiveLink and SAP KPro documents created by the SAP system or users in different SAP modules and applications

In addition, COLD and spool files can be imported from legacy systems in ASCII or EBCDIC formats into the Archive Server, which indexes the documents and stores the index in SAP, enabling SAP users to access the COLD data within the SAP system.

Desktop and Email Integration

Livelink ECM - Suite for SAP Solutions also provides integration with the Microsoft Windows desktop and leading email applications:

• DesktopLink archives documents from any ODMA-compatible desktop application and integrates them into SAP business transactions. DesktopLink supports early archiving, late archiving, and simultaneous archiving scenarios.

• ExchangeLink enables Microsoft Outlook users to select an email and link it to standard SAP business objects such as invoices, customers, or orders. ExchangeLink archives the email within the Livelink ECM – Archive Server where it is linked to the selected SAP object, allowing SAP users to access the email directly in the SAP GUI.

• NotesLink enables Lotus Notes email users to select an email and link it to standard SAP business objects such as invoices, customers, or orders. NotesLink archives the email within the Livelink ECM – Archive Server where it is linked to the selected SAP object, allowing SAP users to access the email directly in the SAP GUI.
