Vocational Training

The demand for more specialized skills has grown with the economy. As a result, businesses and governments are increasing their investment in vocational education through publicly funded training organizations and subsidized apprenticeship for businesses. Vocational education is typically provided by an institute of technology, a local community college or through government-operated adult education centers.

ECM facilitates vocational programs by offering online learning classroom environments where individuals can learn at their own pace and have immediate access to course materials, calendars, curriculums, status, resources and more. ECM tools are used to support collaboration between student teams working on assigned projects, as well as coaching and mentoring by other students and faculty. Course knowledge repositories support the development of effective resources such as frequently asked question (FAQ) repositories and reference lists.
