OTSW Feature Overview
Personal Dashboard: Drive personal productivity with easy access to the user's profile, status and blog. Create a list of "My People" with their status and presence indicators.
Communities: Instantly create community spaces to unite distributed teams with the appropriate level of access. Invite external members as appropriate.
Community Subscription: Subscribe to any community to get an email notification at each new post.
Profiles: Either standalone, or integrated with you LDAP, profiles show a person's face, contact information and more.
Blogs and Microblogs: Offer information workers the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and experiences. Each user has a personal blog that is published in tandem with their personal profile. Microblogging provides ambient awareness of activity throughout the organization.
Chat: When you need quick, real-time touch with one or more people. If they aren't online, they'll see it when they login.
Wikis: Encourage collaborative content creation and capture information from the users in a community. The Wiki tab within a community provides a simple WYSIWYG wiki system, complete with tables and version comparison.
Documents: Bring content into the social space. A Documents tab provides a place for users to work collaboratively on posted content - documents, images, videos and more. Users can comment, version and compare.
Bookmarklet: Add any web media or content with a click into any community or to your blog.
Social Search: Discover people and content in context. Rapid search delivers relevant content in feeds, documents, comments, wikis, and communities. Discover the people who've made those contributions.
Mobile Access: Clients for Apple iPhone, iPad and RIM BlackBerry mobile platforms are included.
LDAP Integration: Profiles can be integrated with your organizations master directory. Choose which fields can be edited.
Content Server Integration: For organizations with records management, information governance and archival needs, content server integration is simple and effective. Optional Content Server integration includes the following capabilities:
- Search – Add one or more Content Server instances to your searchable content.
- Browse – Explore and navigate to content of interest.
- Pull – Add Content Server documents to a community – locking, if desired.
- Push – Add OTSW Content to Content Server – versioning as necessary.
- Respect - Content Server Permissions are always respected.
- Archive – Automatically send all community content to Content Server for archive and records management.
