Provides the ECM Suite 2010 components with a common content repository, workflow and process services, integration with third-party applications, and a consistent user experience.

The foundation for OpenText ECM Suite 2010 is the Shared Services layer, which provides a common integration layer for all components of the Suite. Shared Services also extends integration beyond OpenText products to other business systems, enabling the various components like Records Management and Document Management to access and manage content that originates in ERP, email, and productivity applications, among others. In this way, ECM Suite Shared Services helps to eliminates content and process silos that typically develop within organizations.

Because of its ability to work with other business applications, repositories, and systems, ECM Suite Shared Services provides a single integration point within your information ecosystem. One important and differentiating characteristic of ECM Suite Shared Services is that it supports a wide range of hardware and the most common, industry standard IT infrastructure software, such as relational databases, Web applications, and operating systems. In other words, ECM Suite 2010 works with your IT environment so you can leverage your existing investments without costly migrations or laborious integrations.

OpenText Enterprise Library provides a trusted repository that consistently enforces and manages retention policies, supports governance directives, and addresses regulatory compliance obligations for all content types across your organization.

OpenText Enterprise Process Services includes a comprehensive set of Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow services that help organizations automate processes for the ECM Suite components as well as third-party applications.

OpenText User Experience Services provides the capability to deliver a consistent user experience via Web interfaces, portals, desktop applications, and mobile devices.

OpenText Widget Services provide an easy way of packaging and deploying digital content to the Web. Widgets are small Web applications embedded in a Web page that presents your content in a rich media, immersive experience.
