OpenText Everywhere for Apple iOS™
Application for using OpenText ECM Suite on Apple iPhone or iPad
OpenText Everywhere provides employees with a mobile document management solution to browse, search, view, manage, and email documents and other forms of content stored in the OpenText Content Server, the core repository of the OpenText ECM Suite, from devices that run the Apple iOS operating system, including Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch*. It includes content viewers capable of rendering special file formats, such as Microsoft PowerPoint and over 200 other content object types.
As the workforce increasingly engages in social networks, OpenText Everywhere offers your colleagues content-centric collaboration and micro blogging experiences across communities and workgroups, enabling them to connect with each other and follow activity feeds.
Many business processes and workgroups regularly get delayed while employees are away from their desks. OpenText Everywhere keeps your business moving with the mobile workflows and web forms that your organization needs to be productive. Employees can initiate business workflows, attach and view documents related to a business process, and approve or reject workflows; all through a user experience designed natively for Apple iOS devices.
Via OpenText Everywhere, OpenText ECM Suite customers can use their Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device to access the following:
- My Assignments: Users can view and perform currently active tasks and workflow steps that have been assigned to them. In the view of a particular assignment, users can see the attributes, add file attachments and comments, and perform the task or workflow step. Users can also view and perform actions within the Project Workpaces of which they are members.
- Enterprise Workspace: Users can browse content in Folders and Project Workspaces and perform actions (subject to their permission level) on objects such as Documents and Workflows.
- My (Personal) Workspace: Users can add/edit/delete content objects in their Personal Workspaces.
- Favorites: Users can create an manage Favorites, which are quick links that they can set up to the content objects they use most frequently.
- Social Collaboration (Pulse): Using the Pulse feature, users can monitor activity on content objects, share status updates with colleagues, and enable content-centric collaboration and micro-blogging across communities and workgroups.
