Open Text Appoints Robert Logan as Vice President, Canadian Sales

20 Year Veteran of I.T. Industry Joins Intranet Application Leader

Waterloo, ON - 1996-11-05 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX), a leading supplier of Intranet application software (Livelink Intranet), today announced the appointment of Robert Logan to Vice President in charge of Canadian Sales. Mr. Logan brings to the position more than 20 years of experience in high-technology companies, including Interleaf Canada, Inc., where he held management positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment as President. In his new capacity as Vice President, Sales for Canada with Open Text, Mr. Logan will report to Keith Soley, Chief Operating Officer, Open Text Corporation.
