Pulsar Taps LAVA Systems' Integrated Document Management, Workflow, and imaging Solution to Help Agencies Empower their Workplace Environment
Lanham, MD - 1997-02-03 - Pulsar Data Systems Inc., a leading
provider of systems solutions to the federal government, and Canadian
software developer LAVA Systems Inc. (TSE: LVA) today announced the
signing of an agreement whereby Pulsar Data Systems will bring LAVA
Systems' integrated document management, imaging and workflow
software solutions to their customers in the federal marketplace. Pulsar
Data Systems will also assist LAVA Systems with their products and
services offering to be listed on Government GSA Schedules aimed at
providing complete turnkey information management solutions for
government buyers.
"The agreement with LAVA Systems represents a tremendous opportunity
for us," said Russ Schramm, manager of Pulsar Data Systems' Complex
Systems Group. "The federal government generates tremendous volumes
of documents that need to be accessible to many users in various
locations. LAVA's ability to quickly add document management, imaging
and workflow capabilities to government standard applications such as
electronic forms will enable federal agencies to dramatically increase the
efficiency of their operations and will further assist the U.S. Government
with its paper reduction initiative. In addition, LAVA's openness, flexibility
and user-friendliness make it an ideal fit for just about every government
environment."
"We are very excited about the agreement with Pulsar," said Roland
Harris, LAVA Systems' sales director for the Mid-Atlantic region. "The
federal government is an ideal market for the types of solutions LAVA
Systems offers. Pulsar brings us the expertise we need to succeed in this
sector."
