announced today at the AIIM show that Livelink, its industry-leading
Intranet application suite, is adopting Microsoft products, servers and
architecture as a primary platform for the largest and most demanding
corporate environments. This means that enterprises of any size can
benefit from Open Text Livelink's ability to manage and facilitate complex
collaborative processes on a global scale while leveraging the proven power
of the Microsoft® BackOffice platform.
Livelink will fully support Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0, Microsoft
Windows NT®, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0, SQL Server , and
Microsoft BackOffice. The Microsoft platform will enable Livelink users to
realize a significant decrease in the cost of system deployment and
management. In addition, Livelink will use ActiveX technology to provide
even greater ease of use of Livelink via Web browsers.
Livelink Intranet provides document management, visual workflow, project
collaboration and searching, all fully accessible over intranets via a Web
browser. Livelink is currently being used in over 100 corporations, including
many in the Fortune 500, to support business-critical processes on a
global scale.
