Toronto, ON - 1997-06-09 - J.D. Edwards and LAVA Systems
Inc. (TSE: LVA) today announced a joint marketing agreement under which
LAVA Systems' industry-leading document management solutions will be
offered to J.D. Edwards OneWorld software customers through the
certification of LAVA Link for integration with OneWorld applications. This
certification will provide seamless integration of LAVA's award-winning
document management, imaging, workflow and COLD capabilities with
existing OneWorld line-of-business applications. LAVA Link provides this
enhanced information access through OneWorld's MediaObject facility.
"J.D. Edwards is known for its commitment to delivering working solutions
to its customers," said Peter Hamilton, president and CEO of LAVA
Systems. "We have united the information management capabilities of
LAVA with the advanced client/server technology of OneWorld. This means
LAVA can now bring a comprehensive information management solution to
every J.D. Edwards customer in the multiple-platform OneWorld
environment in a simple, easy-to-use custom interface."
C. Edward McVaney, president and CEO of J.D. Edwards, said,
"Continuing to add real value to our customers' solutions to help them
remain competitive is what drives us in our alliances with companies and

OneWorld is the first network-centric, multi-national Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) package to provide a true distributed object architecture
and an advanced business rules engine. It moves beyond traditional
client/server technology in a J.D. Edwards environment to a variety of
platforms, expanding upon the Windows-based environment of
WorldVision and the traditional "green-screen" of WorldSoftware .
