Newbridge Networks to Deploy Open Text Livelink Intranet Enterprise-wide

Toronto, ON - 1997-10-29 - - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ:OTEX) announced today that Newbridge Networks Corporation, a global leader in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), frame relay and advanced private line solutions, will use Livelink Intranet to streamline collaborative knowledge management enterprise-wide.

Newbridge will use Livelink to give personnel the ability to manage, share and retrieve critical corporate information in a secure, accessible environment. Over the next three months, Newbridge's research and development department will deploy Livelink to 1000 users to manage their technical documentation, with the company planning to scale its implementation to more than 6400 employees worldwide in 1998.
