CMG Alliance Reinforces LAVA S Position In Financial Services Market

Strategic alliance with CMG secures LAVA as leading supplier of integrated customer service management software in financial services market place

Waterloo, ON - 1998-02-02 - LAVA Systems (Europe) Ltd today announced an important strategic alliance that confirms the company s position as a leading supplier of information management solutions to the European financial services market.

LAVA s new strategic alliance partner, CMG plc, provides the direct insurance solution line of business application to many of the UK s largest financial services companies, including Eagle Star Insurance.

LAVA solutions add functionality to the direct insurance solution by managing the unstructured data environment, represented by documents such as claim forms and electronic files and then seamlessly integrating these with the structured environment on the line of business system. Together these two powerful solutions provide intuitive access to accurate, appropriate and up-to-date information on an enterprise scale.

Integration of the direct insurance solution with LAVA allows multiple host and database systems to be brought together to provide a single point of access for enterprise information, including claims processing, customer service, case management, document production, information repository management and Internet access.

As CMG s preferred supplier of integrated document management, image processing and workflow solutions, LAVA can now add their own extensive experience of information enablement in this sector to CMG s strategically important products.

This agreement is the first step in an ongoing relationship between CMG and LAVA Systems, providing the foundation for a strategic alliance to target financial services organisations worldwide.
