Intranet Finance Application Processing Reduced from Hours to Minutes with Livelink

Chicago, IL - 1998-03-04 - -- Nissan Finance (GB) Limited, part of car manufacturer Nissan Motor Company, has selected Open Text s Livelink Intranet to form the basis of a new business infrastructure geared to improving its loan approval and management efficiency in the United Kingdom. Open Text was selected in a competitive tender, following intensive market analysis by Coopers Lybrand Kinesis, resulting in a solution that includes the integration of Livelink with Ascent Capture scanning software from Kofax and Facsys fax software from Techland Group.

The new system will support Nissan's dealers in processing finance applications from the showroom within minutes, rather than hours, enabling the electronic capture of signed documents such as leasing and rental agreements, via a fax and into a workflow. This provides Nissan Finance with fast and easy access to the documentation when validation is required, with the ability to hold the document online for future corroboration between the original and the faxed copy.
