Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group Demonstrates Integration with Microsoft Interactive Media Manager at NAB2007

Microsoft Demonstration at National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference to Highlight Collaborative Media Production Workflows with Artesia DAM Integration

NAB 2007 Conference, Las Vegas - 2007-04-17 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announced that its Artesia Digital Media Group digital asset management (DAM) solution will be showcased in the industry s first demonstration of Microsoft Interactive Media Manager at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2007 Conference, in Las Vegas, April 16-19.

Introduced at the conference yesterday, Interactive Media Manager is a collaborative solution that extends Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for media and entertainment companies with a need for enhanced capabilities to handle rich media. The solution builds on existing technology investments and partnerships, enabling companies to create a highly accessible, end-to-end content production system. The demonstration will showcase how content-rich companies can achieve tailored media management and collaboration solutions, while maximizing their rich media content through sophisticated digital asset management.

The integration of Microsoft Interactive Media Manager with Artesia DAM marks yet another key milestone in our relationship, said Scott Bowen, President Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group. Together, Artesia and Microsoft bring a powerful solution to NAB that will connect such critical applications as digital asset management with production collaboration and workflow tools to foster and streamline the creative process.

Attendees at the conference can receive a demonstration of collaborative media production workflows in the Microsoft booth, SL3213. As highlighted in the demonstration, the combination of Microsoft Interactive Media Manager and Artesia DAM provides media companies with a highly flexible production workflow environment, along with industry-leading digital media repository services. Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group has worked closely with Microsoft on the development of the Microsoft Interactive Media Manager solution and will continue to develop the Artesia DAM integration based on market feedback.

Given the strength of Microsoft s relationship with Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group and our shared expertise in media and entertainment, Artesia DAM was a natural choice to provide DAM integration for Interactive Media Manager at NAB, said Gabriele Di Piazza, managing director of Media and Entertainment for the Communication Sector at Microsoft. The Artesia Digital Media Group brings a depth of experience around rich media workflows and capabilities that are fundamental to our media customers.

Artesia and Microsoft will also be presenting a session entitled: Artesia and Microsoft A Winning Combination for Rich Media Management in the NAB DAM Theater today at 1:00 p.m. This session provides a comprehensive overview of Microsoft Interactive Media Manager s capabilities, value proposition, market impact, and integration with Artesia DAM. Sponsored by Artesia, the NAB DAM Theater is located in the South Hall Upper Level, Meeting Room Complex in room 216.
