Dublin, OH - 1998-05-07 - Information Dimensions, Inc., a leading provider of web-enabled knowledge center solutions, will have a significant presence at AIIM '98, one of the leading conference and trade shows for information technology professionals in document-intensive businesses.

Information Dimensions, Inc., a leading provider of web-enabled knowledge center and library management solutions, will introduce a new browser-based interface for its integrated library system at the 19th Annual National Online Meeting and Integrated Online Library Systems (NOM/IOLS) conference. The NOM/IOLS conference is to be held at the New York Hilton, May 12-14, 1998.

Carol Knoblauch, IDI's BASIS Techlib product manager, is scheduled to give a presentation on the growing interest in knowledge management and its implications for organizations. Set for Wednesday, May 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Ms. Knoblauch's presentation includes an analysis of the complex knowledge management field from a number of relevant perspectives. Overviews of several knowledge management projects will help illustrate the technologies used and identify opportunities for librarians to add value to their mix of services.

"We are particularly pleased to be introducing the new browser-based interface to our successful BASIS Techlib integrated library system," Knoblauch says.

BASIS Techlib offers a complete solution for managing library resources - including traditional and digital collections -- and automating daily library operations.

The new product also provides an open and distributed architecture to meet the rapidly changing requirements of the digital library.

Information Dimensions will host a reception to showcase BASIS Techlib, as well as share the latest news from Information Dimensions with visitors. The reception is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the New York Hilton Hotel and Towers, Room 510. Those individuals who have questions regarding the reception or want to RSVP should contact Information Dimensions at 614/761-7893.
