Royal Impressions Chooses Open Text's Artesia Digital Asset Management Solution
Software Will Enhance Royal Impressions' Customer Support by Managing All Marketing Assets Photos, Graphics, Creative Content -- and Communications for Its Clients
Chicago, IL - 2007-03-29 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announced that Royal Impressions, a New York-based digital printing solutions and marketing services firm, has selected Open Text's Artesia Digital Asset Management solution (Artesia DAM).
Over the years, Royal Impressions has evolved from a traditional printing company to a marketing communications firm focused on strategic one-to-one marketing initiatives through print, email and the Internet. Royal Impressions selected the Artesia Digital Asset Management solution to manage all of its clients' marketing and branding assets within a secure, centralized Web-based system.
"The Artesia DAM solution is another value-added service we can offer our clients," said Christopher DeSantis, President and CEO, Royal Impressions. "Managing our clients' assets will bring us closer to their overall marketing and communications strategies, which will allow them to more effectively deliver on their targeted programs."
With one-to-one marketing, Royal Impressions uses variable data housed in databases to target specific messages to its clients' customers. For example, Royal Impressions manages guest communications through printed materials and email, for a large U.S. entertainment company that has several resorts and theme parks. When guests make reservations, their information is collected and used to push to them targeted images and content that are specific and relevant to their upcoming trip. If a guest mentioned that his family is interested in seeing a certain attraction during their trip, the communications will contain information on that attraction; if another guest mentioned that she wants to eat at a specific restaurant, the communications will offer information on that restaurant, and so on.
Artesia DAM will enable Royal Impressions to efficiently manage and share the scores of assets that come with each client's campaign including photos, Adobe Acrobat PDF documents, graphics and email. Additionally, by leveraging the XMPie functionality of Artesia, Royal Impressions will be able to provide greater transparency to projects, allowing customers to access proofs or work in progress to speed the review and approval process.
"Artesia DAM is integrated into our content management system, which gives us a solution unique to such customers as the large U.S. entertainment company we work with. They had specific requirements such as more granular search capabilities which allowed us to choose Artesia over a few other vendors. There is quite a bit of functionality that we wanted and that Artesia delivered," DeSantis continued.
"Royal Impressions is leading the pack with more targeted, one-to-one marketing and communications programs," said Scott Bowen, President of Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group. "By managing all of its clients' assets with Artesia DAM, the company will be in a better position to help its clients really target specific audiences and achieve higher response rates in marketing campaigns"
