Feld Entertainment Chooses Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group to Streamline Global Business Processes

Artesia Digital Asset Management Solution to Manage all Workflows and Brand Assets in One, Secure Location

Chicago, Illinois - 2007-03-20 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announced that Feld Entertainment, the world s leading producer of live family entertainment, has selected Open Text s Artesia Digital Asset Management solution (Artesia DAM) to streamline business processes and manage all marketing and brand assets such as photos, logos, posters and videos -- worldwide within an intuitive Web-based system.

With thousands of domestic and international performances each year, Feld Entertainment required a solution that would manage the countless number of brand assets associated with each performance and venue. Additionally, the organization required a solution that would be flexible and easy to use for show promoters across the country and internationally. Previously, Feld Entertainment had in place a digital asset management system that promoters found difficult to use, resulting in users creating ad-hoc methods for requesting and managing marketing materials. This left the company with the challenge of trying to get their arms around a multitude of disparate processes and assets across the globe.

In order to effectively support our clients, we needed a system that offered more flexibility to search, view and retrieve assets, which are core to our operation, said Patty McGoughran, Director of Business Solutions in IT for Feld Entertainment Inc. Artesia DAM will enable our promoters to easily upload, store and access all brand assets, while empowering them to quickly and efficiently kick-off a workflow to request additional assets as needed.

With Artesia DAM in place, Feld Entertainment will be able to efficiently manage all brand assets and standardize the now disparate processes and workflows all within a secure, central Web-based system. Promoters and other users will be able to collaborate on various projects and share information regardless of their location. Additionally, users will be able to automatically upload and store large files such as photos of characters, stands, and uniforms; videos, logos, and all other branding assets; as well as arena and venue maps; and scanned documents, such as contracts from other divisions. Check in and check out features with locking and version control capabilities will give users confidence in knowing they are always using the most recent versions, while custom search functionality will allow Feld Entertainment to use keyword and natural language queries to look for assets based on content, metadata, and taxonomies.

The amount of digital content that we have continues to grow and so will the number of brands and expressions of those brands that we need to manage, McGoughran continued. When we have a photo shoot we take thousands of pictures and due to the number of shows that Feld Entertainment produces it is crucial that we manage those digital assets and we are confident that the Artesia DAM system will allow us to reach our goal.

Feld Entertainment expects to have the DAM system up and running by the end of April after which they will look to integrate it with other strategic corporate applications to further extend the value of digital asset management.

Feld Entertainment is taking a significant step to ensure the ongoing integrity of its valuable brands, said Scott Bowen, President of Open Text s Artesia Digital Media Group. Gaining control over its corporate identity allows Feld Entertainment to focus on what s most important providing their customers with quality entertainment.
