Schools to Benefit from Enterprise Pricing Agreement for E-rate Eligible, Hosted Email Services Based on FirstClass
Orlando, Florida - 2007-01-25 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and solutions, announced today that its FirstClass Division has entered into a partnership with Hayes e-Government Resources Inc., provider of information technology services and solutions to State of Florida government agencies, local governments, school districts and commercial businesses, to provide hosted email services nationally. Open Text announced the news today at the Florida Education Technology Conference (FETC), underway this week in Orlando, Florida.
Under the terms of this partnership agreement, Hayes will provide hosted email services for education organizations, based on the FirstClass messaging platform, under the Hayes A+Email services offering. Schools and districts can purchase A+Email at discounted rates, in addition to potential rebates offered through the federal E-rate program.
