Open Text Executives To Give Keynote at Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2006 in Munich, Germany

Will Discuss ECM Strategies for Large, Global Organizations, and Open Text s Expanded Relationship with Microsoft

Chicago, IL - 2006-02-13 - Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, said today that Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer Tom Jenkins will give a keynote address at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2006, underway this week in Munich, Germany. Jenkins, who will be joined by Peter Jelinski, Senior Vice President of Segments, Applications and Product Portfolio Management, will discuss strategies for extending ECM across the enterprise, as well as Open Text s growing strategic relationship with Microsoft.

In November, Microsoft and Open Text announced a broad new relationship that leverages the companies global scale and complementary products to deliver ECM solutions in large, complex customer environments. The companies are working to enhance Open Text solutions in ways that combine the power of the Microsoft platform with Open Text s deep understanding of ECM.

At the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2006, Jenkins and Jelinski will discuss the expanded relationship and the complementary solutions Open Text is delivering for Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. They will also provide a view of future solutions that will extend the Microsoft platform, and offer comprehensive capabilities for German and European companies and government agencies.

The compliance challenge in Europe is growing as regulatory mandates become more stringent, said Jenkins. Managing e-mail and documents is becoming tougher than ever. We welcome the opportunity to join with Microsoft in Munich to share the latest ECM strategies and to discuss how we are working to offer new capabilities that will help customers reduce costs, gain maximum value from enterprise content and improve compliance.

Open Text is an important Microsoft partner and we are pleased to continue to work with them to develop future ECM solutions, said Seth Patton, Group Product Manager, Information Worker Group at Microsoft. By expanding on the current integration between the Microsoft and Open Text software, Open Text will be able to deliver additional comprehensive capabilities and value for customers.

Over the last year, Open Text has been introducing a series of solutions for Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003, including records management and content archiving and the ability to expose Open Text s Livelink ECM content and functionality in SharePoint Portal Server 2003. Open Text also offers a complete suite of e-mail archiving and management solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server.
