Ministry Approval Opens Doors to Government Contracts

Toronto, ON - 1998-07-02 - LAVA Systems Inc. (TSE:LVA) and business partner Cornwell Affiliates plc today announced their selection by the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) for inclusion in the MOD Information and Communications Services catalogue. The Catalogue offers all areas of the MOD and other Government Departments a wide range of IS goods and services including Consultancy. Individual contracts are placed with companies that have won inclusion in the Catalogue using processes that limit the need to follow additional tendering procedures.

The tender for MOD ICS catalogue approval was led by LAVA business partner, Cornwell Affiliates plc (Ça). Cornwell have extensive experience of MOD and other government contracts and were selected under the categories of Document Management, Business Management and Operational Research and Analysis consultancy. The Cornwell/LAVA proposal was successful in selection from several proposals submitted since inclusion in the catalogue is restricted to a few leading vendors in each category.
