Open Text Files Circular for Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders

Waterloo, ON - 2004-11-11 - Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX; TSX: OTC), the world's largest provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, announced today that it has filed and mailed to shareholders its management information circular in connection with its previously announced annual and special meeting of shareholders to be held on December 9, 2004.

In addition to the election of directors and the re-appointment of auditors, shareholders will be asked to vote on special matters at the meeting, including the adoption of a Shareholder Rights Plan, the adoption of a 2004 Stock Option Plan and the adoption of a 2004 Employee Share Purchase Plan.
