Open Text Features Winning ECM Solutions at User Conference LinkUp Phoenix 2004

Company to Unveil New Solutions, Latest Integrated Technology Roadmap,Open Text to Present GlobalStar Award for Top ECM Customer Solution

Chicago, IL - 2004-11-03 - Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the world s largest provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, said today its North American user conference, LinkUp Phoenix 2004, will feature innovative ways customers are leveraging ECM solutions, and the company s own vision for the future of ECM. LinkUp Phoenix runs from November 15-18 in Phoenix, Arizona.

More than 1000 attendees, including senior executives, systems integrators, engineers, developers, trainers, and industry experts, are expected at this year s conference to see the latest integrated ECM solutions, and to understand how ECM is solving difficult information management and compliance problems.

The event will also feature the winner of the Open Text GlobalStar Award for ECM Leadership, which recognizes customers that have achieved superior return on investment from their ECM solution. The winner will be selected from 10 finalists, which include BT; Motorola; Volkswagon Bank; Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC); the City of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; EcoRecycle, Victoria, Australia; the Ministry of Agriculture, Helicon Opleidingen, the Netherlands; Research In Motion; Sasol; and Vision Service Plan. The finalists have been chosen from among a distinguished group of customer entrants who have all demonstrated superior integration of people and information through processes.

LinkUp Phoenix 2004 will also include leading Open Text partners, such as SAP, Deloitte, Hitachi Data Systems®, Adobe, Network Appliance, Kofax, Ricoh and Hewlett-Packard. Partners will show how they work with Open Text s technology to help customers manage the full stream of information in the enterprise.

Jenkins will keynote the event with a presentation on his vision for ECM technology. The event will also feature presentations from Open Text Chief Technology Officer David Glazer and Senior Vice President of Research and Development Hartmut Schaper on the company s integrated technology strategy and coming new products.

LinkUp Phoenix 2004 will include more than 100 sessions featuring customer case studies, technical sessions, and product and solution demonstrations. These sessions will give attendees a roadmap for combining collaboration, process and content technologies to improve organizational efficiencies and enhance productivity. The sessions will also include a series of industry tracks focusing on ECM in life sciences, government, financial services and energy.
